I love working with encaustics! Painting with and manipulating wax is the closest to anything sculptural I have done. Mixing mediums excites my brain as of late. I love abstract imagery, as this is the "subject matter" I can zone out, let the world fall away, and just create. The pieces below have marbled paper and encaustic wax, with drawing elements, as well as metal leaf embellishments. Each piece is on wood panel.
