Creative Retreat in New Orleans, LA
An Introduction...

You're probably wondering just what exactly is Big Easy Mindfulness.

By now, most of you have heard about mindfulness. It is a mental state of being present, in the moment, not concerned with the past or future. There are many ways to be mindful. Some individuals practice it at work, at home, sitting on the beach, grocery shopping, driving, the list goes on and on. It is a great skill to acquire in these days of stress, multi-tasking, and instant gratification.

How does this relate to New Orleans, aka The Big Easy? Well, it's simple really, however, you won't fully understand it unless you've been here. Allow me to explain:

New Orleans is unlike any other city in the United States. Many refer to her as the northern-most Caribbean city. Unlike other large urban communities, she hasn't a care in the world. Existing here is a magical experience. People naturally relax, adopt a laissez-faire attitude, and summon their happy place. This leads to an amazing number of visitors seeking permanent residence every year! Not many cities have this effect on people...at least not in America. This is the core of Big Easy Mindfulness.

As an artist, I am always looking for ways to expand on what I do. Since I have a background in planning small events and gathering others for fun, I feel it is only natural for me to dust off the old planner and organize something special and memorable for both locals and visitors alike. A small vacation (or staycation) where you don't have to create the itinerary, but you will get opportunities to create. The goal is to decompress from your life, meet others looking to do the same, and maybe even discover something new about yourself. With New Orleans as my assistant, we will introduce you to what most locals

already know: living with mindfulness, Big Easy Mindfulness.
